Welcome to Tripid. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Tripid mobile application ("App"), operated by Alec Henry M. Dy-Liacco ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Tripid is a driving efficiency and fuel tracking platform. The App uses GPS, motion sensors, and user-provided vehicle and fuel information to estimate fuel consumption, driving efficiency, trip costs, and related insights. The App may also offer social features, gamification, fuel purchase tracking, and other services as they become available. It is intended as an informational tool only.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

The App may offer both free and paid subscription tiers ("Pro"). Features available in each tier may change over time. We will clearly indicate which features require a paid subscription.
Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment terms, renewal, and cancellation are governed by the respective platform's terms. We do not directly process payment card information.
Refund requests for subscriptions should be directed to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, in accordance with their refund policies.
We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect the current billing period.
The App may award virtual points ("EcoPoints") based on driving behavior. EcoPoints have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for currency unless explicitly offered through a redemption program.
We may offer programs to redeem EcoPoints for discounts, vouchers, or other benefits through third-party partners. Availability, terms, and expiration of redemption offers are determined at our sole discretion and may change or be discontinued at any time.
We reserve the right to adjust, reset, or expire EcoPoints balances to correct errors, prevent abuse, or in connection with changes to the points program. We will provide reasonable notice before any material changes to the program structure.
You may share trip data, scores, milestones, and other content through the App's social features. You retain ownership of your personal data but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to display, distribute, and promote user content shared through social features, for the purpose of operating and improving the App and its services.
When using social features, you agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes on others' rights. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these standards.
You may control the visibility of your trips and profile through the App's privacy settings (e.g., public, followers-only, private). You may also set privacy zones to hide trip start/end locations near sensitive areas.
The App is not a substitute for attentive driving. You acknowledge and agree that:
Fuel consumption, cost estimates, and efficiency scores are approximations based on your vehicle specifications, GPS data, sensor readings, and current fuel prices. Actual fuel consumption may vary due to vehicle condition, traffic, weather, driving habits, and other factors.
Fuel price data is sourced from the Philippine Department of Energy (DOE), other government agencies, and public sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of fuel price information. Actual pump prices may differ.
The efficiency score ("EcoScore"), driving behavior analysis, and leaderboard rankings are algorithmic estimates. They are intended as general guidance and friendly competition, and should not be relied upon as precise measurements or professional assessments of driving ability.
Gas station locations, prices, and availability shown in the App are provided for convenience and may be inaccurate or outdated. Always verify before relying on this information.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
You retain ownership of your personal data (trip records, vehicle information, fuel logs, profile information). However, by using the App, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to:
Certain features or programs may offer you the opportunity to share your individual-level data with third parties (such as insurance providers, fleet management services, or reward partners) in exchange for benefits. This sharing will always be:
You are never required to participate in opt-in data sharing to use the App's core features.
If you contribute to crowdsourced features (e.g., real-world fuel consumption data, gas station prices, road condition reports), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that contributed data as part of our datasets, including in Aggregated Data.
Core trip data (GPS routes, speed, altitude, acceleration, fuel logs, and derived metrics) is always recorded during active trips to provide the App's core features — trip history, efficiency scoring, cost tracking, and cloud backup. This collection is part of the service you sign up for and cannot be disabled without stopping trip recording entirely.
Driving pattern telemetry is a separate, opt-in feature. If you enable the "Share Driving Data" toggle in Settings, you grant us additional permission to use anonymized samples of your driving patterns — including speed profiles, acceleration/braking events, and Vehicle Specific Power (VSP) distributions — to improve the EcoScore algorithm and calibration models. This data is stripped of personal identifiers and location coordinates before any use for algorithm improvement.

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your user content, misuse of the App, or violation of any applicable law.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, your information (including personal data, trip data, and Aggregated Data) may be transferred to the successor entity as part of the transaction. The successor entity will be bound by terms no less protective of your personal data than those in these Terms and the Privacy Policy. We will notify you before your personal data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the App.
